Weapon cabinet

Here you'll learn how to register your firearms in Jaktli, track caliber, status, and the date of the last service, and keep history for weapons you've sold or loaned out.

What is the Weapon cabinet?

Weapon cabinet is your personal register of the firearms you hunt with. Open it via the person icon in the top-right of the home screen, which opens Profile, then tap the Weapons card.

Personal information

Only you see your weapons. The content is not shared with the team. If you move between teams, your weapons stay attached to your account.

Add a weapon

1. Open Profile and tap the Weapons card
2. Tap Add weapon
3. Fill in the fields:
   • Nickname (optional, e.g. "Tikka 6.5")
   • Type (see list below)
   • Make and Model
   • Caliber (required, e.g. .308 Win, .30-06, 12/70)
   • Barrel length in centimeters
   • Status (Owned, Loaned out, Sold, or Awaiting heir)
   • Last serviced (date in YYYY-MM-DD format)
   • Notes
4. You can also add a photo at the top of the form
5. Tap Save

Only caliber is required. You can register a weapon even if you don't know the exact make and model, and fill in the rest later.

Weapon type

• Rifle
• Shotgun
• Combination
• Pistol
• Revolver
• Air rifle
• Bow

The type controls which icon appears on the card in the list: shotguns get a target, the rest get a crosshair.

Status

Status is shown as a label next to the caliber on the weapon card.

• Owned: the weapon is with you
• Loaned out: the weapon is on loan to someone else
• Sold: the weapon has been sold but the history is preserved
• Awaiting heir: the weapon is registered to you but will pass on to an heir

Last serviced

The Last serviced field tracks when the weapon was last with a gunsmith or inspected. The date is shown on the detail screen with a wrench icon, so you can quickly see if it's time for another service.

Edit and delete

On a weapon's detail screen:

• Edit opens the form again so you can change fields or swap the photo
• Delete opens a confirmation. After you confirm, the weapon is removed from your register permanently

In the list you can swipe a row to the left to delete, or press and hold for a menu with View, Edit, and Delete.

Deletion cannot be undone

A deleted weapon cannot be restored. Set the status to Sold or Awaiting heir instead if you want to keep the history.

Handling of personal data

Information about your weapons is stored in Jaktli's database and linked to your account. Only you can see it. The data is deleted when you remove the weapon yourself or delete your account. See the Privacy policy for your full rights.
