Tasks

Here you'll learn how to see the tasks assigned to you, create new to-do items for the team, and tick off a task when it's done.

What is the task list?

The task list is the team's shared to-do list. Use it for practical things like "refill the salt lick", "check tower no. 3", or "bring coffee on Saturday".

Incomplete tasks appear at the top. Tasks assigned to you are marked with a small orange label above the title. Completed tasks are hidden behind a Show completed button at the bottom of the list; tap it to reveal the strikethrough list.

View tasks

  1. Tap Tasks on the home screen
  2. The assigned member appears by name on each row
  3. If a task is linked to a calendar event, a calendar icon is shown
  4. If a task is linked to a map point, the same symbol used on the map is shown
  5. Tap a task to see description, image, linked event, and linked map point

Filter the list

Three filter buttons at the top of the page choose which tasks you see:

  • All: every task on the team
  • Mine: only tasks assigned to you
  • Unassigned: tasks no one has picked up yet

The filter only lasts while you are on the page; the next time you open Tasks you start on All again.

Mark as complete

The creator, the assigned member, or an administrator can tick off a task:

  1. Tap the checkbox next to the task
  2. The task moves down to the completed list

Tap the checkbox again if you tapped by mistake.

Create a task

All members can create tasks:

  1. Tap the + button in the top-right corner
  2. Enter a short title
  3. Add a description if you like
  4. Assign the task to a member (optional)
  5. Optionally link to a calendar event and a map point
  6. To attach an image, tap the image slot and pick Take photo to capture one with the camera or Choose from library for an image you already have

Assigned members get a notification as soon as the task is created.

Tasks can be linked to a map point such as a tower or salt lick:

  1. While creating or editing a task: pick a map point under Link to map point
  2. From the map: select a map point and tap + in the Tasks list to create a task linked to it

On the map, an orange dot appears next to map points that have open tasks. Select the map point to see the tasks and tick them off in place.

Example

Before a group hunt: create tasks like "Pick up cabin key" (assign to the team lead) and "Bring a thermos of coffee" (assign to another member). Link both to the event so they appear together.

Edit and delete

You can edit and delete tasks you created yourself. Administrators can manage all tasks.
